Another fairly quiet weekend for MMA in the mitten state, but that’s ok, because we have a few other things to announce. First, I would like to proudly announce that we (Shannon and TJ) made an appearance on Rear Naked Radio last week. Shooter, Scorcho, and Derek (Pinto) run a great radio show over at Rear Naked Radio. They love the sport and you should definitely tune in if you can. New episodes come out on Mondays and they love the sport just as much as we do. They interview pro fighters, commentate on UFC and Sherdog, and best of all, they talked to us. Head over to Rear Naked Radio to tune in to this weeks’ show. Keep reading to learn about XCC 41 and the Unarmed Combat Expo, both happening on Saturday.

Our second announcement is that there is an Unarmed Combat Expo this Saturday (February 6) which will apparently be aired on Detroit City TV.
Gleaners food bank will be in attendance with their new Auto Show Van, and apparently there will be MMA and Boxing Demos, and merchandise for sale. Dan-Pacman-Langbeen will be putting on an MMA exhibition fight in the cage and Pro Boxing stars Brian “The Lion” Mihtar, and Rahim “The Dream” Mohammed will be putting on some Boxing demos for the crowd. Apparently a packed house is expected, even though this is the first we’ve heard of the show, and we’re looking for this kind of stuff all the time.

It’s $5 to get in at the door, and you can get a 2 for 1 deal at the Four Aces MMA website. The expo will be held at 22538 15 Mile Rd. in Clinton Township, MI, and the doors open at 1pm.

Also this Saturday is XCC 41, Warriors Collide 2 at the Eagles Hall (4761 Highland Dr.) in Waterford, MI.

A championship belt will be on the line and the event will be officiated by King of The Cage Lightweight Champion Tony Hervey.

Gate opens at 7pm and the fights start at 8pm. Tickets are $25-$50. Hit up XCCLive.com for more details.
