again…. the spelling is not right here either on fight number 11.. its josh vancza…. and your right that was 5 insane rounds… but i love a good show… and he deserved that on!!!!
again how does the champion lose his belt on a split decision.. I thought you have too win it outright and a split is not winning the belt, its a tie and a tie should go to the champion….
A split decision means that only two out of three judges thought the winner beat the loser. It’s still a decision, it just means that the fight was close (in most cases). Once in a while you get a judge who is biased, even though they’re not supposed to be.
The way the judging is set up it’s VERY hard to have a tie. Almost impossible.
Shannon, were you one of the judges?
Seriously, how can you say Vancza deserved that one. Brandon won four out five rounds. Vancza is definitely tough, but won the fight, he did not. You are right about one thing, thanks to Brandon, we did see some insane rounds! He had some serious artillery!!
I thought the crowd was very disrespectful that night. How do you boo a fighter that traveled 5 1/2 hrs. and gave all he had, to fight five three min. rounds??
I agree. I’m always disappointed when there’s booing in the crowd.
the crowd was not desrespectful the crowd knows Brandon Noble won that fight and he got robbed you need to watch the fight again
Scott,
Do you know that Josh is a Pro fighter? Do you wonder why he drove 5 1/2 hours to fight in Michigan when there are local fights right in his own back yard. So, forgive me if I don’t feel bad for him!
you have no clue what you’re talking about…if all you do is read websites than you’re doing nothin but gossip…Josh is my stepbrother and we trained for over 10 yrs together in martial arts….we wen’t to High School together…his mom was my mom….and you have no clue…
Other than this it looks like Josh’s last fith was May 2004…He one this one fair and square and all of the Michigan redneck ghetto hillbillies are just upset that because of Nobles loss it put a damper on their hoe downs later that night…Josh will allways be able to beat Noble…he is the best and has the belt to prove it….
HE IS THE CHAMP!!!
I am sorry everyone but Brandon Noble won that fight clearly, you all need to watch the fight again Brandon Noble had way more take downs some judo throws and alot more punches, it went to a split decision and that means the belt holder keeps his belt way to go Brandon you are still the 170 lb champ
Actually, Brandon lost the belt. A split decision doesn’t mean anything, it just means that two out of three judges determined Vancza to be the winner, Not Noble.. Maybe FightXC will let Noble rematch for the belt. Until then, Josh Vancza is the Fight XC 170lb Title Holder.
sorry Shannon you are wrong again you need to watch the fight again how dumb can people be
Nope. I have never judged for Fight XC.
Brandon did NOT win that fight. Don’t get me wrong, Brandon is a great fighter. If you watch that fight again, you might notice that Brandon had to be helped back to his corner after almost every round. Vancza did not. Cardio was the deciding factor. I’m not sure who told you that the belt holder gets to keep his title in a split decision, but that is not true. I have been around this game for over a decade, and I can tell you with the utmost certainty that there is not an organization or promotion on the face of the planet that has such a rule. Vancza’s corner man (who I know personally) said, and I quote, “It was a great fight. It could have gone either way.” Also, if you watch the fight again, you may notice that for almost every takedown, there was a sweep (reversal). As an experienced MMA judge myself, I fully agree with the judge’s decision. I am almost sure there will be a rematch, since I feel that was the fight of the night. As for watching it again, I don’t need to. I was fifteen feet away from the action when it happened the first time.
hey Corwin…it looks like someone know what they’re talking about….Vancza won and there is no dobt to it…Noble could hardly stand after the fight was over and Josh was ready to go 5 more rounds. so to all the haters out there…like Vancza said “GROW UP’, ITS CALLED SPORTSMANSHIP!!!!!!!”"
everyone who thinks that Vancza lost is f-n blind. He obviously won. Joshua Vancza is my half brother and we have the same mother and I used to train with him until high school ended several yrs ago. His philosophy is that this is “Martial Arts” not just fighting. Because of this belief, when the stupid crowd “boos” when he worked his ass off….well this is just rediculous. Josh Vancza won that fight. Noble couldn’t even hardly stand after the fight was over and Vancza was ready for 5 more rounds. Everyone needs to shut up and his comments to the crowd were justified. The crowd wasn’t cheering Noble for any other reason than he is a local and well known in the area….Noble was ok, but Vancza was way better, better trained, more fit and he could beat Noble any day of the week…
That crowd was one of the worst crowds I have ever heard at an MMA event. “It is all about sportsmanship”
Its sad that the competitors get it but the hillbilly redneck audience can’t get it…like Vacza said “grow up!!!!!”
Vancza’s own cornermen and coach said that Noble won the fight and Vancza himself told Noble that Noble deserves the belt all you Vancza fans need to watch the fight again Noble had way more take downs, pouches and judo throws way to go Brandon you are still the 170 lb champ
This image makes it kinda hard to believe that Brandon Noble kept the belt, since Vanzca is wearing it after the five rounds.
Shannon,
I have done research and learned that you WERE one of the judges. Some of your comments I feel are completely inappropriate, since you were involved in the decision. I can’t help but ask myself, if the fight was fixed. Your comments suggest that you wanted Josh to win. Just my opinion for whatever it is worth.
you think shannons comments were completely inapporpriate????? OMG YOU PEOPLE ARE NOT RIGHT… scan through your own comments and tell me how you can even say that????
Karen,
I’m not sure where you received your information from, but that is 100% untrue. While Shannon and myself are both experienced judges, we have NEVER judge at a FightXC event.
T.J.,
I wasn’t sure, and that is why I asked Shannn that question. I thought I read some where (while I was researching whether or not Josh was a pro fighter) that Shannon had, but I wanted to be certain.
I totally understand, Karen. No offense taken!
Thanks T.J.
VANCZA’S CORNER MAN AND VANCZA DID NOT SAY THAT NOBLE DESERVES THE BEL OR THAT NOBLE WON THE FIGHT…. THIS IS SLANDER AND A COMPLETE LIE!!!!!
hunny its not all about taked downs and you’re info is false…Vancza won because like a shark he was always the aggressor. how many submissions did he attempt compared to Noble…its not even fair to compare them. also any take down against Vancza he quickly escaped and became the aggressor once again…dawn you don’t know what you’re talking about…
hunny its not all about taked downs and you’re info is false…Vancza won because like a shark he was always the aggressor. how many submissions did he attempt compared to Noble…its not even fair to compare them. also any take down against Vancza he quickly escaped and became the aggressor once again…dawn you don’t know what you’re talking about…
hey i watched the fight 8 times and Vancza won and Brandon is a chump. He couldn’t even stand once it was over. and so what if he got a take down, how many reversals did Josh have and how many submission attempts did he have. josh wore brandon down and he couldn’t handle it. VANCZA WON and he is the CHAMP, so grow up and stop complaining DAWN
i just would like to know what the fuck tj corwin is talking about… josh vancza never had alot fo reversals.. noble must of took him down 15 times in the match and hit him way more times on the feet…. noble is clearly the champion and he was robbed….. josh the asshole vancza didnt you fight pro couldnt hang so came back to amature and still got your ass beat…
I would appreciate it if you would keep the name calling to yourself. You will find that I will not approve your comments in the future if the name-calling continues. If you have something intelligent to say, by all means, express yourself, but limit your language to a PG 13 rating, please.
Shannon,
Please take a minute to review some of these postings, as you will agree some of them need to be removed.
I AGREE SOME OF THEM DO NEED TO BE REVIEWED!!!
BTW…if you have such a strong opinion, please feel free to use your real name next time. Or better yet, you can tell me in person at the next show. Toodles!
AGAIN THIS IS BULLSHIT… HE NEVER HAS FOUGHT PRO… WE ARE NOT BANNED FROM FIGHTING IN IDIANA AND WE WERE CALLED UP THERE TO FIGHT WE DIDNT FIND THE FIGHT THEY FOUND US…AND GOT HIS ASS BEAT… HAHAHAHA FAR FROM IT
wow john smoe is an idiot…the last fight josh fought was several yrs ago. did you even notice that Noble was backing up over 60% of the fight and Vancza was the complete aggressor. John Smoe, you’re clueless
your info about vancza is entirely false…he is my brother and i have always trained with him…it looks like you’re just upset that that chump brandon got beat down and couldn’t hardly stand once it was over….and talking about being robbed…i’ll tell you who was robbed. Actual Martial Artists were robbed, all of the fans of MMA have no clue about martial arts other that was is on TV and sorry to tell you but it is about R E S P E C T!!!!!!!! AND INTEGRITY AND YES SPORTSMANSHIP. this is was josh is and was trying to say and the losers in the crowd and the losers on this message board are chumps to think that noble won. and it is sad to go to an event and see these guys putting their hearts and body on trial to win a belt and the audience can’t extend the common courtesy of respect for the competitors. this is sad….it is sad that there is even a forum talking about the sH!t that John Smoe is spittin.
JOHN SMOE, you’re a chump and probably have no clue what its like to stand in that ring like I do. so grow up, this is a sport about respect, integrity, and sportsmanship.
first of all Brandon was tired between rounds because how many times he hit Josh took Josh down and there were not that many sweeps(reversal) to be counted for how many times Brandon took Josh down and judges are not suppose to judge a fighter between rounds, I have seen where a fighter was real tired between rounds and still won the fight by doing the same thing Brandon did and the judges didn’t judge between rounds, if you watch the fight after Brandon and Josh’s fight between the 1st and 2nd round you will hear the commentator say that Daron Cruickshank said as far as take downs that Brandon had the fight and Daron is a Pro fighter and he was also one of the ref’s that night matter of fact Daron was the ref for Brandon and Josh’s fight when Brandon and Josh was against the fence in front of Brandon’s corner Josh was digging his fingers in Brandon’s eyes and that is illegal in cage fighting as well as in any sport and Josh threw in an illegal kick but the ref didn’t take any points away from Josh because Brandon was winning the fight and it wouldn’t do any good to take points from Josh when he was losing the fights and how come when Brandon’s instructor(coach) wanted to see the score cards(which he has the right to) they supposely lost the score cards now how in the hell can the judges lose the score cards 5 minutes after the fight something is not right with that.
Hmmm…that is interesting about the missing score cards. You may have misunderstood what I was saying in the last post. When I said cardio was the deciding factor, I wasn’t referring to the judges, rather that I feel cardio was the reason it went to a decision at all. If Brandon had not been that tired, chances are pretty good that he could have KO’d or submitted Vancza. He did have him in serious trouble a couple of times. You are absolutely right…cardio and fatigue play no role (or are not supposed to at least) in the 10 point must scoring system. As far as Brandon’s corner man having the right to see the score cards, an MMA judge is not obligated to show the score cards to anyone besides the promoter, the lead judge (or whoever is in charge of gathering them in order to render a decision) and the announcer. Some judges will gladly show them, some will not. The judges may have claimed to have lost them as an alternative to just saying no…I couldn’t tell ya. Some promoters specifically tell the judges not to disclose the cards to anyone, for whatever reason. As for the illegal kick, I am actually quite surprised the ref didn’t take a point. I will say that the fight was close enough that 1 point may have turned the tide and made it a draw. The mathematical odds of a draw is a lot more likely in a 5 round fight than in a 3 round fight. Aside from deducted points, it is pretty much impossible under a 10 point must system to have a draw in a 3 round fight. As anyone involved in this sport knows, the 10 point must system is FAR from perfect, and has been the topic of a lot of heated discussion. For now, it’s what we’re stuck with. Anyone out there will say the same thing…”Don’t leave it to the judges!”. I was there for a long time after the show, and Brandon took the loss very hard. I believe however, in the long run it will make him train even harder and be an even better fighter. All of the controversy surrounding this fight will surely make for one of the most highly anticipated rematches in FightXC history. I, for one, cannot wait!
we did go to the promoter and he is the one that went to the judges to get the score cards and the judges told the promoter that the score cards got lost and we know someone who knows the judges and 2 of the judges said they gave the fight to Brandon 4-1 so right there tells you something is not right .
you know somone that knows the judges so right there tells you…your full of it… that its all talk and gibberish as for you and your “ultimate whatever you call yourselfs” are a joke… i for one would never let my kid train or fight for such a dishonorable organization…
i agree and well put .. Brandon will train harder and be come even a better fighter… he will make sure it doesnt go to the judges again..

ok i have been around fighting my whole life to tell you who wins or loses. brandon noble won hands down its not a debate. what did they rob brandon just for a rematch to make money.. josh vancza did a great job of taking puinshment but couldnt stop noble from doing what he wanted to do. ya he was tired but he was the one that attack the whole fight. he had the dominate position.. josh vancza lost 4 rounds to one… and the next show ill be next to brandon noble and you two can have words.
I don’t really need to have words with Brandon. After all, it was you who made the comment, Diego.
if vancza had any pride he can come out and tell people he fought pro and couldnt hang so came back to amature. cant do that noble has a good case going if he pushes it… the proof is there they wanted to get noble a good fight didnt matter who they got next time check the fighters background. hes a dirty fighter banned from indiana fights and now comes to michigan so he dont get caught…..
So, I did a little research. It would appear that Vancza has had 3 pro fights, but none of them were sanctioned. I am trying to find more info on the Indiana ban. Do you know of a website or somewhere I can read more about this?
are you kidding me you found stuff on Josh Vancza but you couldn’t find out about the ban in Indiana well I found it and I am sure everyone else found it maybe you need to do a little more research
If you tell me where it is, I would like to read about it.

hey John Smoe you couldn’t have said it any better I agree with you 100% Brandon showed the heart of a true champion because he is the true champion

AND ALL THE STUFF YOU THINK YOU FOUND ON HIM… IS NOT EVEN A REAL MMA SITE… ITS CALLED BACKYARD BOXING AND ITS FROM 97 HMMMM WHAT IS THAT LIKE 12 YEARS AGO AND IT WAS HIS NEIGHBORS BOXING PARTY… NOT A FIGHT EVENT… IF YOUR GOING TO DO RESEARCH THEN DIG TO THE BOTTOM NOT HALF WAY THROUGH AND THINK YOU KNOW SOMETHING… YOU IDIOTS
my name is Robert Noble I am Brandon Noble’s coach, Brandon Noble showed the heart of a true champion Brandon Noble kicked Josh Vancza’s ass and we are good sports and if Josh Vancza would have won that fight we would of gave it to Josh please send me a picture of Josh Vancza’s face, I will send you a picture of Brandon, Brandon looks great my name is Robert Noble I am the head coach of ULTIMATE JUDO, I will write more later in detail Brandon Noble is a true champion and Josh Vancza knows that and nobody respects Josh Vancza’s win.
Brandon did show the heart of a true champion because he is the true champion he got robbed big time and yes Brandon did kick Josh Vancza’s ass and everyone knows Brandon won that fight, way to go Brandon ULTIMATE JUDO is the BEST
I THINK YOU AND ULTIMATE JUDO ARE A FREAK JOKE… I SAT FRONT ROW AND WATCH YOU AND YOUR TEAM THROUGH A FIT WHEN ONE OF YOU FIGHTERS LOST… THAT IS NOT THE WAY TO REPRESENT MARTIAL ARTS… YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELF… YOU HAVE NO HONOR FOR MARIAL ARTS… NOT DIGNITY FOR YOURSELF OR YOUR FIGHTERS ALL YOU ARE UPSET ABOUT IS THAT YOU LOST A BELT AND NOW ULTIMATE JUDO DOESN’T LOOK SO GREAT… YOU ARE ALL RIDING NOBLES COAT TAILS AND IF BRANDON AND HIS FAMILY WERE SMART THEY WOULD RUN FAR AWAY FROM ULTIMATE JUDO…. BRANDON NOBLE IS A GREAT FIGHTER AND CAN GO VERY FAR IN THIS SPORT IF HE GETS AWAY FROM YOU…. I HOPE HE SEES THIS MAYBE HE WILL WAKE UP ON DAY AND SEE WHAT OUTSIDERS SEE… I WOULD NEVER LET MY KID FIGHT OR TRAIN FOR A DISHONORABLE ORANIZATION AS THIS ONE IS!!! GOOD LUCK BRANDON
ultimate judo and karate is a great place. vancza knows he didnt win i mean if he watches the tape he was on his back the whole fight getting pounded and he tryed a couple of submissons but it didnt work.. we all know brandon noble would beat him everytime they fought and josh vancza wants no part in fighting noble…
vancza wants no part of fighting noble????? lmao if you only knew!!!! he would fight him again anytime!!!
well sorry all you Josh Vancza fan’s but they over turned the fight and Brandon Noble got his belt back because he did beat Josh Vancza so he is 6-0 and still the 170 lb belt holder that means Josh Vancza just got another loss on his record so he is 8-3 good job Brandon you are a true champion and always will be and Josh Vancza is banned from fighting in Michigan because they proved he did have 3 pro fights we know that its not Josh Vancza’s fault the way things turned out Josh Vancza is a great fighter and all of ULTIMATE JUDO wishes Josh Vancza the best of luck in the future in pro division.
ARE YOU SMOKING CRACK… WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU… THIS WHOLE POST IS A LIE… AND COMPLETELY MADE UP…. OHHH MY GOD!!! AND THIS, EVERYONE, IS ULTIMATE JUDO FOR YOU!! WHAT A JOKE
Getting banned in “Steve’s Backyard Boxing” means nothing.
Backyard Boxing has absolutely nothing to do with Mixed Martial Arts, and for you to imply any sort of connection is foolish on your part. Also, there is no formal way to ban a fighter from competing in Amateur MMA in Michigan at this time. Amateur MMA is unregulated and it’s not like you can revoke a license where none existed in the first place. Specific promotions might choose not to allow someone to fight, but there’s always another promoter who will be willing to have you at his show – especially if you’re controversial and can sell tickets.
While it is generally agreed that Pro fighters cannot return to Amateur MMA, Vancza’s supposed pro fights were unsanctioned, so it’s as if it never happened.
pro fight is a pro fight
HE NEVER FOUGHT PRO
Very interesting comments. However just my 2cents. I have watched this fight over and over and over. And really, it could have gone either way. Why Vancza wasn’t penalized for an illegal strike and Brandon was, I don’t know. My dad has been a ref for both high school and college athletics for at least 21+ years and the one thing he has always told me is, the hardest part about being a ref is… you have to stick with your call.
As far as takedowns and strikes. A takedown should be considered for points only when the fighter then betters their position. If you shoot on someone, and take them down, yet they in turn take control from the bottom, or you end up in a submission, etc, the takedown isn’t going to do much for you as far as points. The same goes for effective striking. A fighter utilizing effective aggressiveness & control over the fight and moving forward with strikes is more likely to score more points than the opponent who is constantly throwing strikes while back-pedaling.. my point here is there is more to scoring points than just “hitting” an opponent or just taking them down to the ground.
As far as Noble showing the heart of a real champion, that is actually something I mentioned to a friend of min just the other day. Just like in any other sport there are many times when the “declared loser” (and I use that term loosely for this situation) is often views as an equal or even superior opponent regardless of the outcome on the scoreboard. My senior year in high school… lol that was a long time ago… I was the captain of the varsity basketball team, and that was our worst year. However there is one game I will never forget when we played against a Catholic school in Tampa, FL and the scoreboard of that game was nowhere near in our favor. BUT, the entire team as well as the coaches and even the athletic director came to our team and said, “you guys deserved that game, you were outscored but definately outplayed us with your heart. You ran with us the entire game and never backed down.” That game, we lost by 37 points. We held our heads high as we walked off the court. So my point here is I agree 100% that Brandon showed his heart last Friday. Even when he was fatigued and just looked like he was ready to throw in the towel, he didn’t, he got back up, dug deep and found the energy to keep pushing. However, you don’t get points for that.
To me it sounds like FightXC has been doing their research to get to the bottom of this. Personally I would like to hear their thoughts. If the decision was overturned though, I don’t think it would be a “Win – Loss” but rather a No-Contest.
Thanks JD. I really like this kind of post. Very informative!
Thank you for taking the time to post that JD.
like…
To all of you Brandon Noble fans…congratulations! There is a lot of definitive evidence on a lot of sites (including Sherdog) that Vancza has had a few pro fights. I still can’t find any proof that he has been banned from MMA in Indiana, just that Steve’s Backyard Boxing thing (Thanks, Karen!). I would like to read more about it if anyone knows where it is published. Kudos to Brandon, Robert and Ultimate Judo. FightXC did the right thing. The proof is solid. Guess there won’t be a rematch any time soon.

I was asked by Mike the matchmaker, and Norbert the promoter for Fight XC if Vancza ever fought pro. I asked Vancza himself, and did the research online, I did find pro fights under this name, but if u look at the height and statistics, u will find they do not match. The stats say Joshua Vancza is 5’11 which he is 5’7 and had a pro fight the Thursday night before St.Valintines Massacre. Why would a pro fighter drive 5 1/2 hrs and not get paid?? If anyone can come up with some difinitive sites or solid proof this is the same guy, I’ll appriciate it..
Scott,
Are you connected to the organization and are you responsible for pairing Brandon up with this guy?
I was gonna ask why Josh Vancza didn’t show up at the weight in’s on Thursday night but Scott answered it before I could ask it.
if you also look at the home town on one of those sites it says that his hometown is louisville tn…. ummm no thats not him nor has he fought pro once again noble fans are grasping at straws trying to save thier guy… well sorry to tell you the things being said and posted on here are not true…. also i have not bashed or made any negative comments about brandon i think he is a great kid but he has a horrible group of fans behind him… they will only drag him down… negativity will get him nowhere…
then you prove that josh vancza not a pro scott. there is not two josh vancza sorry and from the same city… there is to much proof he is a pro…
where do you get your information smoe??? where does it say two guys from the same town???? you show me proof of that!!!!! also the stats aren’t the same the HOMETOWN IS NOT THE SAME… the hieght is not the same… hmmmm to much proof??? in what his name????? thats to mcuh proof to you????
Go to k-1.azplayers.com/fighter/j17 his name comes up in K-1 and ufc?? Funny?? I’m just trying to get to the bottom of this…
Excellent research Scott. After reading this, there is no doubt that Josh is a PRO fighter, and should not have been in the ring with an amateur fighter!!
POOR SPORTSMANSHIP THATS ALL THIS BOILS DOWN TO. IF YOU AND BRANDON CANT TAKE A JUDGES DECISION WHICH IS PART OF THIS SPORT YOU NEED TO GO GOLF OR PLAY MARBLES OR SOMETHING THAT YOU CAN TAKE A LITTLE EASIER. YOU WIN SOME YOU LOSE SOME AND YOU NEED TO SHOW THE JUDGES RESPECT I THINK THEY KNOW A LITTLE MORE THAN YOU DO
but the fights they say josh vancza where in indiana.. i mean dont you know the guys he fought…. he was what 8-2 who where his losses…who where his wins? bascially shouldnt matter noble beat him anyways and the guy knows it…
GET OVER IT U MICHIGAN CRYBABIES JUST LIKE WHEN THE BUCKEYES WHOOP YOUR WOLVERINE ASSES U CRY GET OVER IT PEOPLE AND JUST MOVE ON GO BUCKS!!!! I SEEN THE FIGHT AND IT COULD HAVE WENT EITHER WAY SO THERE FOR JUST HAVE A REMATCH AND BE DONE GIVE THEM EACH 2 MONTHS TO TRAIN AND LETS GET IT ON!!!
I’m tired of all this B-S… Rematch Noble/Vancza March 20th @ Brawl At The Hall for the FCFL 170lb title belt! Three 3 minute rounds for the main event!! Let’s settle this in the cage!!!!!
THANK YOU SCOTT I CAN’T WAIT!!!! OH AND BTW WHO EVER WINS WILL BE THE WINNER…. OH WAIT THAT IS OF COURSE UNLESS ITS JOSH RIGHT?????
Shannon,
I have a question. If you are the reviewing these posts, why are you posting some of them? Everyone has the right to their opinion, but some of these are down right inappropriate. The slandering that is going on SHOULD not be posted. What exactly are you trying to promote?
Hi Karen,
The system I use for comments makes me approve comments the first time someone makes a comment. After I approve one comment, that person’s comments are automatically posted.
I agree that some of the comments have been rude and unnecessary, but if I delete comments the conversation will be even less coherent then it already is.
Besides, it’s very difficult to delete posts from my phone, which is the only internet I have on most weekends.
Thanks for responding so quick, and I do understand. Will you please delete some of these, as they are disturbing? The name callings and the slander about Ultimate Judo & Karate doesn’t make the organization look very good. Thanks Shannon!
WELL HAVE YOU LOOKED AT THE POSTS YOU AND PEOPLE FROM ULTIMATE JUDO HAVE MADE ABOUT ME AND JOSHUA???? YOU HAVE NOT MADE YOUR SELFS LOOK GOOD… I HAVE ALREADY APOLOGIZED TO SHANNON FOR THE INAPPROPRIATE COMMENT I MADE BACK TO JOHN SMOE I POSTED OUT OF ANGER/HURT FEELINGS AND I USUALLY DONT STOOP THAT LOW… I ASKED SHANNON TO DELETE IT AND I FELT THAT I MADE A MISTAKE FOR POSTING IT. I FELT BAD AS SOON AS I DID IT… AS FOR ANYTHING ELSE I DO NOT APPOLOGIZES BECAUSE ALL WE HAVE GOT SINCE THE FIGHT ENDED WAS BASHED… I FEEL BAD THAT EVERYONE TOOK THE VANCZA WIN SO HARD BUT MY GOD DON’T BASH HIM OR I FOR IT IT WAS THE CALL OF THE JUDGES I ONLY NEW 4 PEOPLE AT THAT ENTIRE EVENT… I DO FEEL VERY DEFENSIVE ABOUT THIS WHOLE THING BECAUSE I FEEL THAT HE WAS ROB OF GETTIN TO CELEBRATE HIS WIN… INSTEAD WE HAD TO GET FOLLOWED AROUND THE BUILDING FROM THE PEOPLE OF ULTIMATE JUDO YELLING TRASH AT US… AND YOU WANT TO SAY THAT THESE COMMENTS ARE MAKING ULTIMATE JUDO LOOK BAD… YOU GUYS DO THAT ON YOU OWN…WITH LITTLE HELP FORM ME. I HAVE TOLD JOSHUA VERY LITTLE ABOUT ANYTHING POSTED ON HERE BECAUSE HE DOESN’T NEED TO HEAR IT.. I ON THE OTHER HAND AM ONLY DEFENDING MY FIGHTER…AND WILL CONTINUE TO DO SO… AS WILL ALL OF YOU!!!!
We have been talking about this whole comment thread. We have decided we are not going to delete anything. This is an open public forum where people are free (with very few restrictions) to express their opinions. Everyone needs to take responsibility for the things they post on the internet. Also, it is far too time consuming to try to referee all of people’s individual interactions.
I understand what you are saying T.J. I guess the only option is for me not to view the site. Thanks for the reply.
no karen i am not josh
my sister dates josh and i could give 2 shits if either one of them one the fight the only solution is have a rematch.people cussing each other out over a little fight its not like its a UFC fight lets be real!!!
and people calling my sister names is ludacris come on grow up!!!!
Butch,
This is all gettting out of control. The name calling is ridiculous and I have requested that Shannon remove so much of this nonsense. This is not what this is all about. It is suppose to a sport,. As I said earlier, everyone has their opinion, and that is okay, but the name calling and slandering is ridiculous. I just wish it would stop
excuse me????? kathy you were all in on the name calling and slandering when you were all bashing josh go back and read some of that stuff you all posted… and what negative things have i said about brandon?????? NOTHING SO take you own advice and practice what you preach!!!!
Erin,
Reread that post. It was not from Kathy, it was from me, Karen. As far as you not saying anything bad about Brandon, THANK YOU!
ATTENTION EVERYONE:
I have stated that we will not remove any of the comments posted thus far. But I agree with Karen, this has gotten out of control and this is not what it is about. From this post forward, there is to be no more name calling and you all need to do away with the vulgarity. If you continue to do so, don’t be surprised when all of your future comments are blocked. Don’t get me wrong, I love the fact that people feel this strongly. This type of rabid fanfare is what sets MMA apart from all the other sports. But martial arts are founded on the principles of honor and respect. Name calling, mudslinging and cussing do absolutely nothing to forward these principles. I can’t help but find it amusing that neither Brandon or Josh have posted anything. All of you have spent as much collective energy and time fighting on their behalfs as they did in the cage! They, on the other hand, have done what needed to be done and agreed to do it again on Mar. 20th at Full Contact Fight League’s next show – Brawl in the Hall. Also, the referees for this spectacular event will be Michigan pro fighter Ben Lagman and FightMichigan’s very own – ME! We hope to see you there and all of this will be settled in the cage.
Nicely put T.J.!!
name vancza two losses
Sorry John
Josh Vancza 9-2 Belt holder
Brandon Noble 5-1 Former holder
please get it through your head that they over turned the fight Brandon Noble 6-0 Josh Vancza 8-3
IM SORRY TO TELL YOU DAWN I WILL NOT GO BY YOUR WORD….. I NOR HAS JOSHUA BEEN CONTACTED ABOUT ANYTHING ON THE DECISION BEING OVE TURNED IF THIS IS THE CASE THEY NED TO CONTACT ME AND LET ME KNOW THIS!!!
I saw that fight and I agree it was a close match however a decision was made and whether you agree or disagree the judges decision gave Josh the belt. I guess we will see on March 20th who the true Champion is. Until then everyone should stop being poor sports and move on.
excuse me karen i never said anything negative about brandon i jumped in when someone called my sister a pig thats going too far and like i said settle it in the cage!!! and again GO BUCKS!!! thanks butch
Butch,
I never said that you said negative things about Brandon. Where did you get that from?
vancza can not honestly watch that fight and think he won the fight thats all im saying.. noble was in the dominate position the whole fight.. vancza put up a great fight but he did not win…. the first three rounds where hands down noble.. the second round he pounded josh with a six piece combo and took him down at least 12 times the whole fight. josh tried some arm bars but failed…. and again name his two losses…
again John Smoe I agree with you 100% Brandon was in the dominate position the whole fight I guess people can’t realize that Brandon won the fight and they over turned the fight because they had real judges watch the fight and the real judges said that Brandon won the entire fight, I know they have called Josh and/or his coach and told him they over turned the fight how come they dont want to get it through their heads that the fight was over turned and Brandon is 6-0.
JUST SO YOU ALL ARE CLEAR FIGHT XC HAS NOT CONTACTED ME, JOSH OR HIS COACH ABOUT ANYTHING… I WOULD LOVE TO FIND OUT THOUGH!!!!
Norbert, FightXC’s promoter, called me Sunday night. He said they were considering overturning the decision based on the allegations of Josh fighting as a pro. He told me they will reach a decision later this week. As of yet, there has been NO formal announcement made. From what I have read, I see the problem. Although there are some websites that claim that there is a pro fighter named Joshua Vancza, the bio stats do not match and not one person has found any video or pics from these fights. While it does seem a little coincidental, the evidence that your Josh and the one in the fight posts are the same person are not solid enough to base an overturning on, which I’m sure is why the jury is still out. I personally don’t know what to make of it all. What I do know is that was an awesome fight for both of them and a rematch is inevitable at some point!
I have been to a lot of cage fighting events, and I must say that the match up between Josh Vancza and Brandon Noble was a great match between two dedicated fighters. I watched the fight as a fan of neither one of them. As the fight progressed I found myself rooting for both fighters, because they both showed heart. I do agree with T.J. Corwin that cardio was the dominate factor of the fight, but felt the fight could have gone either way. In reading all of these comments nothing was brought up about who hired the judges (Fight XC), and who promoted the fight (FightXC). Do all of you think Fight XC hired bad Judges?, and all of them were wrong? It seems to me all of you think the fight was throwed in favor of Josh Vancza. If the decision would have went in Brandon Nobles favor everyone would have thought what a great fight it was, and nothing else would have been said. So you have to ask yourself what sells tickets? (REMATCH). I think both fighters deserve congratulations for a truly great fight, and I for one would like to see them paired up again. I read on T.J.’s reply that both fighters agreed to fight March 20th for a new belt, and I also heard through the grapevine Brandon Noble has backed out, what’s up with that?
I just talked to the guy putting on the show for 3-20-2010 and BRANDON NOBLE HAS BACKED OUT!!!!
I am Brandon Nobles’s coach Brandon won that fight by points not cardio fights are judged on points, Brandon wants to pound Josh but I will not let him fight because I do not belive they will judge the fight fair, when the judges score the fight by points they will fight Brandon will pound Josh Brandon the Beast Noble fears no one he will be in the UFC good bye.
I agree 100% and you are right about BRANDON the BEAST NOBLE going to the UFC!!
BRANDON the BEAST NOBLE 6-0 and alot more wins coming his way.
Good call Robert! That is what a good coach does is to do what’s best for his fighter. It seems Brandon didn’t get points for his fighting; however, was stripped of points for fatigue! I didn’t realize you can lose a fight by appearing winded BETWEEN rounds. At any rate, I do agree with your decision. Why would you set him up to go through the same thing. Although, Brandon would never be that winded again, as he will take this experience and he will learn from it. I also wanted to say that people have to remember that Brandon was knocking guys out in the first round, so for him to go five rounds that hard was bound to where him out. Good job Brandon!!
UFC???? HOW IS HE GOING TO GET TO THE UFC BACKING DOWN FROM A FIGHT??? IF HE FEARS NO ONE WHY NOT HAVE THE REMATCH AND PROVE THAT INSTEAD OF YOU CLAIMING TO NOT LET HIM FIGHT… I THINK ITS FUNNY BUT THATS JUST ME…. EVERYONE WANTS TO SEE THE REMATCH AND JOSHUA IS ALL FOR IT. WE WERE EXCITED ABOUT THE FIGHT ON THE 20TH AND WE STILL ARE BUT IT MAKES ME LAUGH THAT HE WONT REMATCH US THAT NIGHT!!! BRANDON IS A GREAT FIGHTER BUT I THINK THAT HE REALIZED NOT EVERYONE WILL GO DOWN IN THE FIRST ROUND.. THIS WAS THE FIRST FIGHT BRANDON HAS GONE PAST ROUND 1 AND IT SHOWED. JOSHUA ISN’T GOIN TO GO DOWN WITHOUT A FIGHT AND HE PROVED THAT! JOSHUA AS WELL IS A GREAT FIGHTER AS FOR BRNDON’S 6-0 AS YOU CAN SEE POSTED BY T.J. THERE HAS BEEN NO FORMAL DECISION MADE THAT THEY OVER TURNED THE DECISION AND HE IS NOT 6-0 HE IS STILL 5-1 UNTIL THEY SAY DIFFERENT WHICH I DON’T SEE HAPPENING. YOU CANT CRY ABOUT A DECISION IN THE UFC AND ALTER YOU STATS LIKE WHAT IS HAPPENING HERE. JOSHUA WON THAT FIGHT GET OVER IT… TAKE THE 5-1 AND KEEP WORKIN FOR THE UFC IF THATS WHAT YOU WANT TO DO BUT DON’T TRY TO MAKE UP SOMETHING THAT IS COMPLETELY UNTRUE… .WHAT WOULD THE UFC THINK OF ALL OF THIS. I WOULD GUESS THEY WOULD LAUGH AT IT ALL AND NOT TAKE A FIGHTER SERIOUSLY SINCE THE FIGHTER CANT HANDLE A SITUATION LIKE THIS. THE JUDGES MADE THERE CALL AND IT WASN’T IN BRANDONS FAVOR AND PEOPLE ARE THROWING A FIT OVER IT AS IF THE JUDGES DON’T MATTER… IF THAT IS HOW PEOPLE FEEL, THEN WHY HAVE JUDGES THERE AT ALL IF THIER DECISION ISN’T GOING TO MAKE A BIT OF DIFFERENCE? I CAN TELL YOU THE JUDGES IN THE UFC WOULD TELL YOU RIGHT WERE TO GO IF THIS HAPPENING TO THEM. GROW UP AND MOVE ON GET OVER THE LOSS AND PROVE THAT YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES. THATS HOW YOU GET TO THE UFC!!!
well Brandon is 6-0 and the UFC wouldn’t let a pro fight an amateur fighter but we all know Brandon the Beast Noble won and got robbed but got it back.
BRANDON IS NOT 6-0 DID YOU READ T.J.’S POST??? HE TALKED TO NORBERT AND AND THERE HAS BEEN NO DECISION ON OVERTURNING THE DECISION GET IT THREW YOUR HEAD AND THE UFC DOESN’T GO FOR UNTURE STATS HE DID NOT WIN HE WAS NOT ROBBED AND IF HE THOUGHT HE WAS MAYBE HE SHOULDN’T HAVE BACKED OUT OF THE REMATCH! INSTEAD OF BACKING OUT AND PRETENDING HE IS STILL 6-0 HE IS IN DENIAL!! AND NEEDS TO WAKE UP YOU CAN’T RIDE DENIAL TO THE UFC GIVE ME A BRAKE!!! LMAO
ya well the match maker told us that they over turned the fight so how you like that one you dumb ass
well Brandon is not the one who back out if you can read go to Robert’s comment and Brandon will fight Josh again when Brandon becomes pro matter of fact Brandon will fight Josh for his first pro fight
well the match maker can call me and tell me that you make up excuses that josh fights pro and brandon didn’t back out because he will fight him when he is a pro fighter…. dawn i know you are a little slow and must not read well but WE DO FIGHT IN INDIANA… WE DO FIGHT IN OUR OWN BACKYARD… AMATURE BTW AND WE ARE NOT PRO WE ARE NOT BANNED FROM ANYTHING AND WE DROVE 5 HOURS BECAUSE SCOTT CALLED AND ASKED JOSH IF HE WANTED TO FIGHT AT THE EVENT WE DIDN’T EVEN KNOW HOW FAR IT WAS WHEN HE SAID HE WOULD DO IT… SO DON’T ACT LIKE WE CAME THERE LOOKING TO DO ANYTHING.. WE WERE INVITED TO YOUR CRYBABY EVENT WE DIDN’T ASK FOR THIS. BUT IT IS WHAT IT IS AND YOU BABY LOST SO DEAL WITH IT… IF HE WAS SO WORRIED ABOUT THE LOSS HE SHOULD HAVE REMATCHED HIM ON THE 20TH LIKE WE HAD SET UP AND TAKEN CARE OF ALL OF THIS IN THE CAGE….
Dawn are you a complete idiot? You show me solid proof that Josh Vancza was a Pro Fighter? Why the hell would he drive 5 1/2 hours to fight and not get paid if he was pro. First you cried cause the judges were not fair Boo Hoo! Now your crying because you say Josh is a Pro Fighter. Give me a break. Are you from Michigan oh wait you must be because your a DAMN CRY BABY!!! Brandon could not hang for 5 rounds the first time thats why he backed out for the 20th. I mean my god he couldnt even get up on his own after 3 rounds and Josh well we all know how he handled 5 rounds dont we.
he drove 5 1/2 hours to Michigan cause he thought he woudln’t get caught why wouldn’t he stay in his own backyard in Indiana to fight oh because he is banned from fighting in Indiana, none of are fighters would drove 5 1/2 hours away when they can fight right in their own backyard.
sorry it is suppose to say drive 5 1/2 hours
UFC THOSE ARE BIG DREAMS !! IF HE MAKES IT THERE HE BETTER BE ABLE TO GO 5 ROUNDS BY GETTING UP ON HIS OWN AND NOT HIS COACHES PICKING HIM UP OFF THE MAT.IF YOUR THAT CONFIDENT THAT HE COULD BEAT VANCZA U SHOULD NOT OF BACKED OUT.TO LATE NOW I GUESS .GOOD LUCK GETTING TO UFC LOL MY COUSIN MARK PALBYKIN IS 1000 TIMES BETTER THAN NOBLE AND HE ISNT THERE YET HES WORKING ON A CONTRACT WITH BELLATOR WATCH HIM FIGHT HES IMPRESSIVE THE REAL DEAL!!
Brandon was tired in between rounds because of all the pounding he did on Josh if you noticed when the bell rang Brandon was ready to bang again and he did just that the whole fight you know as well as I know that Brandon won that fight and he got robbed big time.
MARK PALBYKIN IS AWESOME!!!!
ALLL THE BEST WISHES TO NOBLE THOUGH GOOD FIGHTER.
Thank you Butch!
U r welcome karen all of this never should of happened a loss is a loloss. Brandon should of took the rematch though if he really thinks. He can.beat vancza.
I am wondering if this is the Josh Vancza we are talking about. Are these Josh Vancza’s stats? I don’t know either guy just enjoyed a great night of fights!!
http://www.mixedmartialarts.com/mma.cfm?go=stats.fighterDetail&pid=0C9B263F09CD63D5
It sure is. I can tell because the moves he used to win his amateur fights were the same moves he attemped on Brandon. Thanks for posting.
Noble won that fight hands down even though he ran out of cardio in the first round , if the judges really knew how to score all three rounds , not five like was mentioned should have went to Noble, and yes Josh Vancza has pro fights on his record but thats besides the fact Noble still should have won that fight and retained his title belt. landing one strike then getting taken down and beat on for three rounds should not win a split dec in a title fight, his sub attemps where a joke noble was not in any trouble at any time. This is why i think only cred ammy or pro fighters or state elec officals should judge and reff shows, then these kinds of things wouldn’t happen as much. enough rammbling on my part though it was a scrappy fight , point being though Noble won the fight , all three rounds , and if he had trained and brought some cardio he sould have knocked josh out in the first or second. talk to ya laters..
j lawrence
sorry computer was lagging while i was watching the vid my bad it was a five rounder,, Noble still wins
oh and just a little defense for josh though, indiana promoters are shady as hell, they do put ammy fighters up against pros all the time and pay the legit pro and not the ammy guy, they also don’t turn in results, and or change the result of the fight to and ammy fight so it’s not on there pro rec if the ammy guy wins or they just wont turn in the result, i’ve had to deal with that shit down there myself and my fighters aswell ! there are only three trust worthy shows in indiana to fight for and thats xxx extreme, mma big show, hook’n'shoot, all others are a coin toss! so in josh’s def he prob fought those fights and the promoter marked them pro, josh has no control over that! the promoter emails the results to mma.tv and sherdog not the fighter.
Brandon Won! Hands down! Bad call by the judges… Here’s the stupid part of all this…Josh won, Pro or Ammy he retains the belt MAKE HIM FIGHT TO KEEP IT!…You can’t overturn it, because that shows weakness within the league. The Matchmaker (Mike Pedenelli) used to be my matchmaker for MXC and the start up of Fight XC…Mike has a bad side of not researching fighters. Names and a records don’t say it all (Told him that thousands of times)…Promoter’s who cared about what they are building/promoting much like myself did all that and made decisions like…hey…I don’t believe this fight should happen then crossed it off the board…After my removal from Fight XC…people who never been involved with the business thought they where better to run it alone…just goes to show they don’t know anything past what they could take from watching myself in action. I know for a fact that fighters will learn faster then they will…LOL
For the record, Indiana just became a Lic. State for MMA. Everyone in IN fighting before so, you could eater refer to as Pro or Ammy…No records where ever kept. Promoters in IN where just bring everyone in to fight anyone…lying along the way…Josh in someone’s eye’s might be Ammy…but in others, Pro…unless IN or some other state documented that he is pro…then no one knows otherwise or can say anything.
To just say that fight never happen…Weak on Fight XC’s side…giving the belt back and saying sorry… weaker…for Brandon to say ok I forgive you. WOW tops it all…Brandon you’re a good fighter, but damn you should have said FU all the way.
