Ron DeLeon’s Capital City Cage Fight Championships on September 26, 2009, was absolutely his best show yet. The weatherman was calling for thunderstorms, and I know Ron was prepared for that, but the weather held off and the tent at Hooter’s was packed. There were 15 awesome fights including five title matches. Here are the results:

Carnel Giles (New Haven, 5-0) vs. Rob Bisgeier (Flint, 3-2)
Winner: Carnel Giles at 19 seconds in the first round by knockout.
Carnel is the new Interim Heavyweight Champ.
Fight #12
BANTAMWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP
This fight was interesting because it was supposed to be a four-man tournament for the belt, but it seems there was a man who dropped out at the last minute, leaving only three to fight for the belt. I have no idea how they chose who was going to advance directly to the final fight, but here are the results:
Raul Cruz (now 3-1) vs. William Schalaba (4-0)
Winner: William Schalaba by unanimous decision after three grueling rounds.
Fight #13
MIDDLEWEIGHT BELT FIGHT
Kris Lush (6-1) vs.Josh Kosic (3-0)
Winner: Kris Lush at 2:10 in the second round.
Fight #14
LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP FIGHT
Morgan Avila (3-1) vs. Bryan West (6-1)
Winner: Morgan Avila at 1:44 in the first round.
Fight# 15 MAIN EVENT:
