Juggernaut Fight Series – Saline Summer Beatdown – Results from August 13th, 2011

The first installment of the Juggernaut Fight Series has concluded and in the record books. While FightMichigan couldn’t be there for this spectacular event, thanks to Michigan Extreme Combat SportsKevin Whittenberg and P?ebor Pete Trevino Jr.‘s notes, we’ve got coverage for you!

For an inaugural event, this event was a very solid and well coordinated one. Promoters Lee “The Juggernaut” Trombley and Scott Burk put on a show that fans will remember for a long time. For the very first fight of the night, two debut fighters, Ron Orvis and Justin “Fireball” Wilson went the distance for a split decision with Justin “Fireball” Wilson coming out on top. There were many more fights that went the distance…a telltale sign of good matchmaking! This card also featured several stunning knockouts and a few slick submissions! One of those knockouts was delivered by “Bionic” Brian Davis in just 21 seconds against a very game opponent in Eric “The Reject” Burress for the Juggernaut Fight Series Middleweight belt. Special recognition goes out to Terry VanAvery, who stepped up at the very last minute to face off against the top-ranked 155 pound fighter in Cheap Jordan Sale the State, Deven “Bad News” Brown for the Juggernaut Fight Series Lightweight title. Our hats go off to all of the warriors that made this event such a success! Speaking of warriors, the referees for the event were a couple of pro fighters themselves, Danny McIntire and Josh “Short Stack” Robinson. Handling all of the microphone ceremonies for the night was none other than Mr. Throwdown himself, Pete Trevino Jr. Judges for the evening’s action were Jose Martinez, Phil Sindone, and Noah Delaney. The timekeeper for the event was Anna Bewersdorff. With such a solid start, it’s a guarantee that the JFS will be back again, bigger and even better! Winner: “The Ole Man” Chris Sincil at 2:17 in the first round by tap out due to arm bar.
