Ron DeLeon Promotions – Capital City Cage Fight Championships – Shaw vs Carrow II – Results from August 13, 2011

The Lansing Center roared to life once again Saturday night, as Ron DeLeon‘s Capital City Cage Fight Championships made a strong return with another very entertaining card! The fans packed the house to witness their local favorites in action. Among the great fights was the impressive and dominant debut of a 3 time state champ wrestler Freddie Rodriguez. Lansing’s Ray Reynero also won his bout in stunning fashion, setting himself up to face Clint Crabtree for a shot at the 135lb. title at the next event. This card also featured 2 of the best female fights we have witnessed in a long time! Melisa Berean squared off against Tara Moreno in an impressive debut. These ladies looked like they had done this a few times already! St. NFL Jerseys China John’s Amanda Cooper faced Yolanda Gonzalez in a three round war that led to a VERY close split decision. The Main Event featured a highly anticipated rematch pitting Zach Shaw against James “The Ninja Bunny” Carrow for the 155lb. title belt. The pace went full tilt right from the start, with Zach Shaw coming out on top to claim the belt from a very game opponent. Zach will go on to defend his title against Tyler Sible at the next show. The keeper of the cage (A.K.A. referee) was the prolific “Vicious” Vance Swerdan, along with his right-hand man, Doug Gallegos. The judges for the evening were the very experienced James Griffin, Shannon Hale and T.J. Corwin.
