Fight Michigan witnessed history in the making last weekend with Warrior Xtreme Cagefighting at the Yack Arena. Pete Trevino Jr., Fight Announcer and friend of Fight Michigan, has developed Tap-Team MMA, and you’ve almost gotta see it to believe it. You put that together with the matchmaking talent of Dave Chambers, the promotional wizardry of Jeff Pitock, and well over 800 people in the crowd, and you’ve got yourself one hell of a cagefighting event. Michigan Combat Photography‘s Chris Rabior was there, and was generous enough to send us a photo gallery, which you can see after the jump, along with the results, and everything you want to know about Tap-Team MMA!
Michigan’s best MMA photographer, Chris Rabior (Michigan Combat Photography), sent us the following photo album. Thanks, Chris!

So, you’re probably wondering how Tap-Team MMA works… here are the rules, as sent to me by Pete Trevino Jr.
(Mixed Martial Arts Bouts)
created by Pete Trevino Jr. in April 2008
Team based MMA matchups – 2 teams with 2 fighters each.
All 4 fighters must weigh within 6 lbs. swing of each other.
Example: if lightest fighter is 155 lbs. heaviest can be no more than 161 lbs.
Matches consist of “3” five minute rounds with 1 minute between rounds.
“5” five minute rounds for championships
All 4 fighters come to cage ready to fight.
Each team choses who starts each round.
No fighter can fight more than two full rounds unless partner is eliminated.
Each round is scored with the”Trevino”points scoring system:
Multiple points can be gained in each round.
K.O. = 3 points
Submission = 2 points
Round Winner = 10 point must system
If any fighter is submitted, the fight Cheap NFL Jerseys is NOT OVER.
When a fighter is submitted in any round, the fight clock stops.
The submitted fighter must exit the cage and his partner finishes the round.
The submitting team gets 2 points in that round.
And probably 10 more points for winning that round.
Any K.O.’d fighter obviously WILL NOT be allowed to continue fighting.
His partner must finish the entire fight if possible.
T.K.O./ Referee Stoppage is a K.O. (better to tapout and continue next round).
If one fighter eliminates both other team members in a single round, the fight ray ban sale is over.
Let us know what you think in the comments. We’ll also try to answer any questions that you have.
